Free plan and the trial label

What the Free plan includes

Every new account starts on the Free plan. It costs $0 and has no end date.

  • 50 messages per month. The allowance resets each billing month.
  • 5 MB of indexed content. Enough for a typical small-business site and a few PDFs.
  • Web widget and hosted chat page. Paid plans add the REST API, WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack and more. See pricing breakdown.
  • 1 workspace and 1 team member.

The trial countdown label

The trial countdown is a leftover label from an older plan design. Some accounts still see a "Free trial: N days left" pill in the sidebar, a trial date on the billing page, or reminder emails about a trial ending. Those surfaces are being retired.

When the countdown reaches zero, nothing happens to your agent. You stay on the Free plan with the same 50 messages and 5 MB, your content stays indexed, and your widget keeps answering. If you created more workspaces than the Free plan allows (1), the extra workspaces are locked rather than deleted, and unlocking them is as simple as upgrading.

When a Free workspace is removed

Removal depends on activity, never on a date. The rule has two steps:

  1. 21 days with no conversations. The workspace is paused: automatic re-crawls stop, and the owner gets an in-app notice and an email.
  2. 30 days with no conversations. If the pause notice went out at least 9 days earlier, the workspace can be removed along with its indexed content.

Any conversation on the workspace resets the idle clock. Paid workspaces are never removed by this rule.

Upgrading

Upgrade at any time from Settings > Billing & Plan. The new plan applies immediately, with higher message, content, workspace and channel limits. Compare plans on the pricing breakdown or the live pricing page.

Common pitfalls

Assuming the agent stops at day 14. It does not. Only 30 days without a single conversation can remove a Free workspace.

Creating a second workspace on Free. The Free plan allows 1 workspace. Extra workspaces are locked until you upgrade.

Leaving a test workspace idle. A workspace you set up and never use is paused at 21 days. Send one test message from the chat playground if you want to keep it.

Is the Free plan a time-limited trial?

No. The Free plan has no end date. A trial countdown in the dashboard or an email is a label only.

Do I need a credit card?

No. Payment details are needed only when you upgrade to a paid plan.

Can I upgrade at any time?

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately.

When is a Free workspace removed?

After 30 days with no conversations, and only once the owner has had at least 9 days' notice from the pause at 21 days.
