Import a Google Search Console CSV

What the import does

Growth+

Search Console shows what people type into Google before they reach your site. Importing it does two useful things:

  • The agent can see search demand. The rows (query, page, clicks, impressions) become one knowledge source named after your file.
  • You get a ready-made test list. The top queries are the questions your agent most needs to answer well.

The import does not write answers for you. Answers still come from your pages, files and Q&A pairs.

How to import

  1. In Search Console, open Performance › Search results, choose a date range, and export the Queries table as a CSV.
  2. In AskVault, open Knowledge, add a source and choose Search Console.
  3. Upload the CSV. AskVault reads the query, page, clicks and impressions columns, up to 5,000 rows.

The source then appears in your knowledge list like any other.

Turn queries into better answers

  1. Take your top 20 to 30 queries by impressions.
  2. Ask each one in the chat playground.
  3. Where the answer is weak or missing, add a page, a snippet or a Q&A pair.
  4. Repeat each month with a fresh export.

Limits

  • Rows per file. The first 5,000 rows are read.
  • File type. CSV only.
  • No Q&A generation. The import stores the data; it does not draft answers.
  • No live connection. Upload a new export when you want fresher data.

Common pitfalls

"No recognizable columns". The file is not a Search Console export, or the columns were renamed. Export again from the Queries table.

Old data lingers. Delete the previous Search Console source when you upload a newer one, so the agent sees one consistent snapshot.

FAQ

Does it connect to Search Console directly?

No. You upload an exported CSV.

Will it create FAQ entries for me?

No. Use the queries as a checklist and add the answers yourself, or let AI Insights suggest answers for questions the agent could not handle.

Which plan do I need?

Growth or above.
