AI support agent for SaaS support teams - deflect, then hand off

Last updated: · 5 min read

Built for the team that lives in the inbox

Small support teams answer the same questions all day. A lead with 2 to 10 users on the team spends the shift on setup, billing and "how do I" questions while the tricky tickets wait. AskVault splits that work: the agent answers what your documentation already covers, and your team gets the conversations that need judgment, with the history attached.

What the AI answers

The agent answers from your help center, product docs, changelog and PDFs, in the customer's language, with a link to the page it used. On Growth, 5 workspaces let you keep separate products apart. When your docs do not cover a question, it says so rather than inventing an answer, and the question shows up in AI Insights so you can close the gap with a Q&A pair.

Every answer is scored for groundedness. On Growth and up, weak answers are flagged into a Needs Review queue so someone on the team can check them.

Coming next for support teams

  • AI draft replies Rolling out. Suggested answers in the inbox, grounded in your docs and never sent without an agent.
  • "Want me to check with a human?" Rolling out. When the AI is unsure, it offers a handoff instead of a shaky answer.
  • Custom ticket fields Rolling out. Your own fields on each conversation.
  • On-screen guidance Rolling out. "Show me" highlights the buttons a customer needs to click in your app, step by step.

Pricing without seat math

Seats are included in the plan.

PlanPriceSeatsMessages a monthWorkspaces
Growth$99/mo46,0005
Business$249/mo1015,00015

There are no per-seat or per-resolution charges, and the allowance is a hard cap. Growth also carries 40 MB of indexed content and Business 100 MB. Prices exclude tax. See why there is no per-seat pricing and the pricing breakdown.

Where a bigger help desk still fits

Some teams should keep their help desk.

If your team depends on deep ticket workflows, advanced reporting or enterprise admin controls, a mature help desk such as Intercom may still be the right home, and its AI agent Fin plugs into it. The trade-off is pricing: Fin charges per outcome on top of seats. See AskVault vs Intercom Fin.
