Seeing your changes
The editor shows a live preview. After you save, the widget on your site picks up the new settings on the next page load; the server caches settings for about a minute, so allow that long.
Brand DNA
During onboarding AskVault suggests a colour and logo from your homepage. Use Refresh and Apply in the Brand DNA section to update them; see Brand DNA.
Developers
The embed snippet accepts a few data- attributes, such as data-color, data-position, data-panel-mode and data-theme, which are listed in widget customization. From your page's JavaScript you can call AskVault.track, AskVault.setUser and AskVault.clearUser. AskVault.open, close and sendMessage are rolling out. Rolling out
Limits
- No custom CSS. The widget runs in its own sealed container.
- Launcher icon. Uses AskVault's icons; custom launcher uploads are not supported.
- Position. Bottom left or bottom right only.
Common pitfalls
Changes not showing. Reload the page after about a minute.
Badge still showing. Removing it needs Growth or above.
