Connect Calendly to AskVault
What connecting Calendly does
Growth+Calendly powers one skill, demo_scheduler. Once both are on, a visitor who asks for a demo gets a scheduling card in the chat instead of a "fill in this form and we'll be in touch". The card names your event and its length, and links to Calendly, either your normal booking page or a single-use link the bot creates.
The booking itself happens on Calendly, so your availability, round-robin rules, buffers and confirmation emails all work as they do today.
Set it up
- In AskVault, open Integrations and choose Calendly.
- Sign in to Calendly and approve access. AskVault stores the access tokens encrypted.
- Open the Skills page and turn on demo_scheduler. It is off by default.
- Ask "Can I book a demo?" in the chat playground and check the card appears.
When you connect, AskVault also subscribes to Calendly's booking and cancellation notifications for your account. These are checked against Calendly's signature and logged; they do not trigger messages to visitors.
What AskVault reads from Calendly
- Your Calendly user and organization, to know which account is connected.
- Your event types, with name, length and booking page.
When the bot creates a booking link, it asks Calendly for a link that allows one booking only. Nothing else in your Calendly account is changed.
Limits
- One event type on the card. The card uses the first event type Calendly returns.
- No cancel or reschedule from chat. Visitors use the links in Calendly's confirmation email.
- Calendly only. Cal.com and SavvyCal are not supported.
Common pitfalls
The card stops appearing or the skill reports an error. The Calendly connection may have expired or been revoked. Reconnect under Integrations › Calendly. Automatic token refresh is rolling out.
The card shows the wrong event. Reorder or hide event types in Calendly so the one you want comes first.
Connect is locked. Integrations need Growth or above.
FAQ
Does this work with Calendly's free plan?
The connection uses Calendly's standard OAuth, so any Calendly account can connect. Some Calendly features, such as round-robin, need a paid Calendly plan on their side.
Will the bot interfere with my existing Calendly link?
No. Your public booking page keeps working. Single-use links the bot creates are separate and expire after one booking.
Can I use it for support calls or interviews instead of demos?
Yes. Put the event you want offered first in Calendly and tell the bot in your system prompt when to offer it.
